| New Jersey's Merci box car has been said to have been destroyed by fire, but I have seen nothing to confirm or deny that story. I have not heard anything of the Merci gifts to New Jersey. We would welcome any further historical or current information about the box car and the hundreds of gifts it delivered to the state. |
